Vtg Indian Handmade Hanging String Puppet RAJASTHANI KATHPUTLI Dancing Doll. Vintage Traditional Hanging Indian String Puppet - Rajasthani Kathputli This Kathputli depicts what looks like a very happy woman. She has a red handpainted smile. The head and torso are handcarved and handpainted wood. The skirt is made from a loose woven gauze material, it is made from two colors of fabric on the front, but both fabrics have the same printed pattern. There is a natural colored gauze underskirt. The shirt is cotton, the arms and chest are stuffed very tight. She has a loop screwed in the top of her head that her puppet string is attached to. Vintage displayed and played with very little condition. The handpainted head is in good condition with minimal paint loss. In each of her hands is a tassel. 25” in length. Over all the puppet is in great condition.
